The Type H Pressure Reducing Regulator
is an internally balanced, piston actuated, spring loaded
valve, constructed for high pressures and small
capacities, and for dead end service.
Construction: The main valve is of the needle
type and is carried in a stainless steel yoke. All
internal parts are accessible and removable for servicing
without disconnecting or breaking line connections.
Regulator is single seated normally open, and
throttles to a closed position. Valve disc and seat are
of hardened stainless steel and readily accessible and
removable. Stellite facing on valve seat can be furnished
when specified at additional cost.
Adjusting springs provide for minimum
pressure differential between opening and closing
pressures and various spring sizes are available for
either wide or limited pressure ranges
An "0" ring seal has been used to reduce
friction with a resulting closer regulation and improved
tight sealing of fluids.
Regularly furnished in bronze body with crank
adjustment. Set screw adjustment and screw cap are
optional.
Applications: Primarily
designed for the reduction of comparatively high initial
pressures to secondary operating pressures with a wide
range of adjustment. Particularly adapted for restricted
flow of accumulator service.
Suitable and recommended for use
hydraulic pressure service using the two pressure system
where only the final and holding pressure is through the
valve. Also used for the Operates of hydraulic test
apparatus requiring regulated high pressure and small
flow.
Ordering: Specify initial pressure, reduced
pressure, service such as water, oil or kind of liquid,
gas, and the volume of flow required.
Pressure ranges (pounds per square inch): No. 1 Spring
50 to 1,000 psi-, No. 2 Spring, 1,000 to 2,500 psi-, No.
3 Spring, 2,500 to 5,000 psi.
Intermediary Springs can be furnishe with a lower
pressure range to meet more specific initial and final
pressur operations as used on air, water or o
