TECHNICAL INFORMATION

USE/ APPLICATIONS

Tylok Weld Couplings, are for use where permanently welded connections are required or desired due to severe service conditions. Tylok couplings provide the utmost in reliability. They are shock and vibration resistant and resistant to thermal cycling.

Typical applications include high pressure steam system and nuclear power plant applications.

DESIGN/FEATURES

Tylok Weld Couplings feature clean, uniformly machined surfaces to facilitate welding. Tube ends and pipe ends are manufactured to the same high quality standard as other Tylok Couplings. Please refer to Tylok Tube Couplings catalog for data of tube ends and Tylok Pipe Couplings catalog for data on pipe ends.

SPECIFICATIONS

Tylok supplies two types of Weld Fittings or Couplings -Socket Weld Tube Couplings and Butt Weld Pipe Couplings.

Socket Weld Tube Couplings will accept standard tubing sizes from 1/8" through 1" and are available as standard products in 316 Stainless Steel and Steel. Other materials are available as special order.

Butt Weld Pipe Couplings have the same O.D. size as corresponding pipe size and are chamfered to facilitate welding. These also are available as standard products in 316 Stainless Steel and Steel. Other materials are available as special order.
