Case constructed of stainless steel the
Weiss Bimetal Thermometers are hermetically sealed to
insure a moisture-proof unit. The sensitive, precision
formed bimetallic element is accurately calibrated to
meet certified temperature standards. The Helix assembly
is silicone damped against vibration. Coils are carefully
wound and heat treated for optimum stability and over
temperature capability.
On the Series BM, they come equipped with a single
dished dial of anodized aluminum, with white matte
background and black numerals and graduation lines. To
eliminate errors in the reading due to optical parallax,
the Series RBM and VBM have graduated scale markings that
are in-line with the pointer tip.
Separable sockets are always recommended whenever
pressure conditions exist at the process connection. Care
should be taken in selecting the material of the socket
to insure its compatibility with the medium being
measured.
Connection fittings are located for back, lower and
vari-angle installation.
Vapor Actuated Dial Thermometers provide easy
reaclabili and quick response 0 temperature change at
the bulb sensor. No outside power source is required,
making an economical means of temperature
indication on 3 1/2 or 41/2" non-linear scales.
Standard features include stainless steel case and
direct mounting Vari-angle (R) connection. Other case
styles, Series VTR are bracket mount, bottom, back and
flush mounting.
Standard ranges are shown below. For other ranges from
-120* to +1200*F or where linear scales are
required we recommend Weiss Gas Actuated Dial
Thermometers. See page 9 for details.
